Rendezvous: Autumn Adventures

autumn adevture

With it's light breeze and colorful trees, Autumn, is a wonderful season to explore the outdoors.  This enchanting season doesn't last long, so make the most of it by checking out a few of these fun Autumn activities:

Apple Orchard

Autumn is the season for all things apple and the best place to get fresh and juicy apples is straight from the tree!  You can pick your own at many local orchards.  Plus, most orchards sell their own home made apple butter and delicious carmel.

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpin patches are filled with fun for all ages.  Picking out a pumpkin is a great way to spend a Fall day with your friends and family.  Whether you prefer to carve scary faces into them, bake and eat the seeds, or use them as centerpiece, locally grown pumpkin are a must-have this time of year.

Museum

When the weather is cold or rainy, escape into a museum for a day's worth of fun and learning.  Going to a museum is a great way to explore rare artifacts, local history and hands-on exhibits.

Tailgate

A great way to enjoy the season is to cheer on your favorite team.  Invite your friends to join you for a tailgate date. Set up your tailgate supplies in the backyard (or stay indoors,if the weather’s isn't cooperating).  Grab chairs, cooler and grill for a fun day of cheering on your favorite team.

Harvest Festival

Autumn festivals abound in townships, wineries and family farms. The community comes together for pumpkin weigh-offs, scarecrow contests, and craft fairs.  You can pull up a chair at a table, enjoy your cider donuts and people-watch for hours.

Leaf Pile

Some of Fall's most enjoyable activities may also be the cheapest.  Like, jumping into a crackling, earthy pile of leaves!  Grab your rakes, and rake the leaves together and have fun jumping in them.  This a great way to get to let go of your inhibitions and have some fun!

Scenic Drive

Driving through countryside roads and watching the leaves change into vibrant oranges, yellows, and reds is our favorite part of Autumn.  Hop in your car, pack a couple of sandwiches for a picnic, and take a scenic drive through the Fall foliage.

Bonfire

What could be more fun than cuddling up in front of a fire while roasting marshmallows and swapping stories?  Make a trip to your local park, or beach that has a fire pit, and build a blaze with family and friends.
